Pinyin Chinese Class

Textbooks: Chinese Language Pin Yin and Book 1

This course is the basic and essential step for learning Chinese in our school. Students in this class are in the first stage to build a fundamental concept about Chinese language. The curriculum is designed to prepare students in using Pin Yin (phonetics for Chinese characters) to pronounce Chinese characters correctly and to learn new words independently in the future. At the end of this course, students are expected to know Pin Yin and to read and write a minimum of 30 simple Chinese characters. This course may have multiple sessions depending on the number of students enrolled for this class.

Basic requirements: Students are 5 years old and up, they are physically and mentally mature for in-class learning.
